It's like a movie preview. Jessica Tandy plays an old woman who teaches the
younger generation a lesson about life. She walks down a ramp in Harvard
Square T station. There is a young man. He is from the South. Is he bigoted?
There is also a security guard. These people are walking down the ramp, one
after the other, as part of this movie preview. There is a young son. He is
twenty something. He has curly hair. He could be even younger. You hear a shot. Two men run out. They are bowlegged. Are they Texans? They run funny. They see this guy standing there, as do you, the audience. Is this the guy who was supposed to get shot? How did they know that he was supposed to get shot just by the fact that he was standing there? He was a troublemaker. There is no bullet hole in the wall.
Around the corner, there is a clinic. The nurse is looking real serious. They run around to the other side of this wall. There is a HEAD in a cage. It's Joe's head, my friend Joe. Joe?? He has a bump on his forehead. Oh no, someone was hurt. Will he make it?
No!! Of course not! His head is severed! He's not going to make it. He can't live, they can't reattach heads.
The dream goes to a post-movie editorial phase. "Why did Joe get killed? That means he's out of the movie... You didn't want him in the sequel?" Apparently the movie was the second in a series, Joe's character gets killed in the second.
"Why didn't you want Joe to appear in the next movies in the series?"
